Parents, This is a reminder that school will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, January 15. If there is bad weather on Tuesday, we will have a virtual day. Teachers have sent home work for your child to do in case we are closed due to weather. If school is not closed on Tuesday, they do not have to do the homework packets. I will send out a message on this platform as well as put it on our school facebook page if we will have a virtual day. Everyone have a safe and warm weekend. Mrs. Martin

Parents, Today we practiced our Lock Down procedures. We talked with the students and let them know this was a drill and there was no emergency. All students at CES were safe at all times. We were able to use our new locking devices and are very thankful to all of our families that donated in order for us to purchase these for our classrooms. We read a book after the drill called, I'm not scared...I'm prepared because I know all about ALICE. I will send the link to the book if you would like to read it with your child also. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office. https://cdnsm5-ss9.sharpschool.com/UserFiles/Servers/Server_87539/File/I'm%20Not%20Scared...%20I'm%20Prepared%20-%20ALICE.pdf

Aggie Families, We are preparing for Kindness Week, February 12-15. We will be collecting coins that week for a "penny challenge." All coins collected will go to St. Jude's in honor of one of our student's siblings that is receiving treatment there now. If you have large coffee cans , animal cracker containers, large cheese ball containers or anything similar, that you could send for the classes to collect their coins. We will be sending more information home about this later. Thanks in advance, Mrs. Martin

Parents, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back! We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning. I wanted to remind everyone that construction has started in our office. We will have a temporary office during construction on the side of the building closest to the cafeteria. You will see the signs designating the office. There will also be no parking in the office parking lot until construction is complete. You will need to park in the carline area if you are coming to school. Also, we ask that no one parks in the bus lane after 2:45. If you need to access the office for any reason after 2:45, please park on Walker Road and walk in or you can park in the back parking lot and walk around. We appreciate your patience during the inconvenience of construction. It will be worth in when it's complete.
